ESTRELLA FOOTHILLS HIGH SCHOOL

LIBRARY EXPANSION

PROJECT SUMMARY:
3,800sf addition to library comprised of three classrooms that can be converted to one large space for staff training and public use. Existing library to receive new circulation desk and polished concrete floor in main circulation areas and space to be repainted and new carpet added.

SINGLE CLASSROOM ADDITION

PROJECTS SUMMARY:
The existing P.E. Classroom at the Main Gymnasium is being expanded by 900sf. The two spaces will be separated by an operable wall and the new area will include casework along the south wall where student can learn their taping skills. Projectors and projection screens will be included for both rooms to enable teams to review game footage.

DANCE ROOM

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Re-purpose an existing classroom space to become a Dance Studio. The remodel includes new sprung wood flooring, office and storage space, full height mirrored walls, and ballet bars.

6 CLASSROOM ADDITION

PROJECT SUMMARY:
This addition will add to the capacity of the campus so the number of students per classroom does not increase. It is part of the 2nd phase of funding, and programming will start next year.

WEIGHT ROOM EXPANSION

PROJECT SUMMARY:
The existing Weight Room at Building 200 is expanding by 1,750sf. This addition will be used to expand the strength and conditioning space. It includes an indoor artificial turf surface on the floor.

TURF COVERED BATTING CAGES

PROJECT SUMMARY:
The addition of turf to the batting cages will reduce the time and cost of maintaining a level grade in these areas.

RE-COAT ROOF

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Select roof areas in need of repair and re-roofing throughout the campus will be addressed this summer.

EXTERIOR PAINTING OF CAMPUS

PROJECT SUMMARY:
All existing buildings on the campus, including Concessions and Dugouts, will be repainted. The new paint scheme will work to unify the campus.

RESEAL EXTERIOR BUILDINGS

PROJECT SUMMARY:
BUHSD decided to paint all exterior block per description of “paint campus”.

REPAIR STUCCO

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Ongoing repair work prior to painting.

ADD WATER TO ROOF

PROJECT SUMMARY:
New water spigots will be installed on the roofs so that hoses can be used to keep the roofs clean and help increase the life of the roofs.

SECURITY CAMERA UPGRADE

PROJECT SUMMARY:
New camera locations will be added to the existing system to increase security at the Campus.

REMOVE VCT AND POLISH CONCRETE

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Existing VCT (Vinyl Composite Tile) will be removed and the concrete below polished. This is becoming a popular option in several schools, because the polished concrete does not need to be maintained at the same level as VCT.   It only requires wet mopping on occasion and never needs to be sealed.

CARPET

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Old and worn out carpet will be replaced as needed throughout the campus.

MATERIAL STORAGE BINS

PROJECT SUMMARY:
The material storage bins are simple U-shaped masonry enclosures that will be used by the field maintenance crews to hold materials such as decomposed granite (DG), topsoil, etc. that will be needed to maintain the fields.

FIELD RENOVATIONS

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Replace the existing football field with artificial turf in order to reduce maintenance costs and improve the aesthetics of the field. It is part of the 2nd phase of funding, and programming will start next year.

LECTURE HALL SOUND SYSTEM

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Update the technology in the existing Lecture Hall as required to improve the sound quality.

ADD DG AND LANDSCAPING

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Add decomposed granite and new landscaping in various areas of the campus.

TENNIS COURT REFINISH

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Re-condition the existing tennis courts surfaces. It is part of the 2nd phase of funding, and programming will start next year.

TRACK SURFACE RE-COATING

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Repair damaged areas and re-coat the track at the football stadium. It is part of the 2nd phase of funding, and programming will start next year.

BLEACHER EXPANSION

PROJECT SUMMARY:
This project will increase the capacity of the existing Bleachers at the football stadium. It is part of the 2nd phase of funding, and programming will start next year.
